9:00 am.......SHOW SET UP DAY,ALL VOLUNTEERS WELCOME AND NEEDED !!!

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 8, 2008

8:00 am to 10:30 am.......Register and Check in Market and Futurity Beef and Futurity Heifers at the WJLS OFFICE

8:00 am to 6:00 pm.......Register and Check in all feeder and breeding beef, market and breeding sheep, market and breeding swine and dairy animals at the WJLS OFFICE.

9:00 am to 6:00 pm.......NON-LIVESTOCK EXHIBITS ENTERED in the NE corner of the Soule Building

8:00 am to 6:00 pm.......SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS due at the WJLS OFFICE,SCHOLARSHIP INTERVIEWS must be scheduled at the WJLS OFFICE. You must be a current High School Senior to apply for a scholarship

12:00 noon.......FUTURITY SHOW BEGINS, followed IMMEDIATELY BY THE MARKET BEEF SHOW

2:00 pm.......BEEF SHOWMANSHIP CONTEST in the Soule Building, STARTING WITH BEGINNER followed by the Junior and the Senior beef Showmanship. The Junior and Senior showmanship contest will take place at the same time in the Soule Building in a split arena.

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 9, 2008

8:00 am.......SWINE SHOW, FOLLOWED BY THE BREEDING BEEF SHOW starting at 11:00 AM

12:00 noon.......DENVER TRIP POINTS SHEETS DUE IN THE WJLS OFFICE

1:00 pm.......SHEEP SHOW BEGIN WITH BREEDING SHEEP, THEN MARKET LAMBS, THEN SHOWMANSHIP

2:00 pm to 6:00 pm.......GRASS AND RANGE PLANT IDENTIFICATION CONTEST, NW corner of the Soule Building OPEN TO 4-H MEMBERS AND ADULTS

4:00 pm.......WJLS SCHOLARSHIP INTERVIEWS BEGIN, check in at WJLS OFFICE.

11:00 am to 1:00 pm.......BURGER BUST, Compliments of Rapid City Chamber of Commerce, Fine Arts Building

1:30 pm.......DAIRY SHOW in the Captain Glenn Building
